This couple’s holiday snap is confusing a lot of people online

A couple's holiday photograph has left thousands of people deeply confused - us included. The unknown pair probably didn't expect to go viral when they innocently posed in front of a tree and captured this strange-looking shot. The image was shared on Facebook page The Archbishop of Canterbury but it wasn't their colour-coordinated outfits or mahogany glow that had us scratching our heads (even though we're dying to know what tan that is). No-one could work out how it looks like the girl in the photo is carrying the tree.

"She is holding a bag but that still doesn't explain the bit on top of her bag which looks identical to the tree? Her whole top arm is missing? "Been staring at this for the past how long and still can't figure out what she's holding apart from a tree." "Her arm must be around it the top of her arm is missing." "I don't get it- she is holding the tree." "I'm so confused wtf." "Took me a while to notice that the tree was not part of her outfit."

So what's going on? Is this the new 'dress'? Will we ever find out who these two people are? And just WHAT fake tan are they wearing? We demand answers.
