Love Island’s Jessica Shears and Dom Lever confirm engagement

Jessica Shears and Dom Lever have confirmed that they are now engaged after just three months of dating. The Love Islanders may have only known each other for a (very) short time, but true love doesn't wait and all that, so why should they? Speaking to OK! magazine, Jess said that 26-year-old Dom proposed earlier this month in London and that she, of course, was only over the moon.

"It happened the night before the TV Choice Awards. We were staying in a lovely apartment in London. I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when Dom got down on one knee - he said afterwards that he had never seen me smile like that!"

The reality star also said that husband-to-be Dom had filled the apartment with flowers and champagne before getting down on one knee and popping the question. Dom also mentioned that he had originally planned to propose to Jessica on holidays but busy-ness restricted the pair's schedules.

"If I'd waited I don't know when it would have had time to do it because we're so busy at the moment. It felt like the right time."

And once that's all done and dusted, they're going to start trying for children too. It's all very serious. "We're desperate for kids. I don't think we'll wait too long after we get married to start trying," said Jess.
