Before you get carried away, he won’t be in drag as far as we know
The security guard affectionately known as ‘Big Steve’ from Jeremy Kyle has now landed himself a new role on Ru Paul’s Drag Race according to a TV insider.
Steve was part of the wider cast and crew on The Jeremy Kyle Show for several years and outside of his official capacity as a security guard when things got heated, he was often called on for lovable moments of comic relief, regularly replying with little more than a monosyllabic answer like, “No, Mr Kyle”.
However, following the reality TV show being axed after 14 years in 2019 following the suicide of a former guest and other controversies unearthed following an inquest, everyone’s favourite security man was left in need of a new role.
People on social media were even actively trying to get him work.

But not worry, as according to a source speaking to the Star, Big Steve has since found himself running security on the set of Ru Paul’s Drag Race. “Steve has been on hand to help make sure filming is going smoothly and everyone is super safe”, they said, adding that “he’s the best in the business and has had plenty of work since leaving Jeremy Kyle.”
In fact, Jezza wasn’t his last ITV gig either, as the 63-year-old also joined the cast of Judge Rinder as security back in 2020, among a variety of other gigs.
Kyle himself returned to telly earlier this year as a presenter on TalkTV not long after a damning exposé on the original show, which revealed the shocking treatment guests and members of staff received over the course of 17 series from 2005 to 2019.
