Stacey Solomon just shared a super honest post about breastfeeding, and we’re in awe

Rebecca O'Keeffe

She’s some woman!

A few weeks back, the lovely Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash welcomed a baby boy into the world.

Joe revealed on Stacey’s Instagram page that their little bundle of joy came much earlier than expected.

Sharing a picture of Stacey and their son right after the birth, Joe said:

“This morning. A lot earlier than planned I watched the love of my life, bring a new life into the world. We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what’s to come. Mummy and baby are well and resting.”

Fast forward a few weeks, and Stacey is in serious mum-mode!

Last night, the presenter took to Instagram stories to give an update on her baby, Rex.

Today has been a total write-off… i had so many plans and executed zero of them… I’m so behind with pumping, Barely getting enough off in time for feeds. Looking out the window at the moment, dreading the sun going down. Thank goodness it’s summer! Did anyone else feel like that? I needed to sleep so badly today but I get sad when I sleep through the day and I wake up and it’s nearly night time! ? But it’s OK tomorrow is a new day and ill be ready for it, Probably, Maybe, might actually not be though haha! P.S @realjoeswashy if you think I believe for one second that that pillow just happened to be there – you’re wrong! Ill get you back, right after I get my mind back! ?

She also shared an honest post about breastfeeding at the same time.

“Lots of people asking why I’m pumping so much… it’s a long story, but I was told I had to,” she said.

“Baby wasn’t feeding properly, and I don’t think I got the latch right in the beginning which didn’t help.”

She continued, saying: “My milk didn’t come in until day five. I was told I needed to give top ups after every feed and make sure he gained enough weight.”

Stacey explained how feeding Rex had been “really difficult” but is continuing to power through (too right!).

“Hopefully he will get bigger and suck harder and for longer enough so that I can cut out of all of the top ups,” she continued. “But he may not so we will just have to see how it goes.”

Fair play to her!
