It's pretty subtle.

Have you ever spotted this before?

We’d consider ourselves here to be pretty close royal watchers but we’ve never really taken the time to look very closely at the faces of the members of the royal family because… well, why would we?

If you were to look at Prince William up close though you might notice that he has a faint scar on the left side of his forehead.

To be fair it’s not super noticeable but William has addressed it in the past, revealing that he once got a whack of a golf club while playing with a friend. As you do.

“That was for my Harry Potter scar, as I call it, just here,” he said in an interview in 2009.

“I call it that because it glows sometimes and some people notice it — other times they don’t notice it at all.

“I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine. We were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head.”

Coincidentally, his wife Kate also has a scar on the left side of her face, though it’s usually hidden by her hair.

The scar is from a childhood operation, the palace previously confirmed.
