Actress Michelle Keegan has landed a role in new BBC drama Ordinary Lies.
The six part series is set to feature a number of familiar faces including Jo Joyner (Tanya in Eastenders), Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street fans will remember Shelley) and Jason Manford.
Ordinary Lies, written by Bafta winner Danny Brocklehurst, will see twenty seven-year-old Michelle play a receptionist working at a car showroom.
Michelle Keegan played Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street for six years
A source told The Sun newspaper: ”The characters are likeable but they don’t always tell the truth. Some lies start off huge, others are tiny and grow.
”It shows what happens when the lies people tell to keep their heads above water spin out of control with sometimes tragic, sometimes funny consequences.”
Michelle, who played Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, hinted at her new role recently when she said she “had an exciting job in the pipeline”.
