Love Island’s Paul is set to drop a bombshell on his date with Laura tonight

We weren't expecting this.

Tonight's episode seems to be all about love, as the Islanders, in their couples head out on a variety of dates. From Dr Alex racing around the Spanish countryside in a flashy car with Alexandra to Jani taking a hot air balloon ride, it looks set to be a good episode (and a nice change from yesterday's crying babies). But one thing we did not expect was Paul to drop the big question, asking Laura if she wants to make the relationship official and be "exclusive". According to the DailyMail, the moment occurs after Laura receives a text that the pair are heading on a date. While on the date, Paul gushes over how beautiful the setting is and then after a quick chat, he drops the question of the night.

"Getting to know you more and more I’ve realised we are compatible, we get each other’s jokes, we understand each other" Paul explains.

"I had no idea and I didn’t know what I was walking into, and meeting you, every day I was like, 'wow, we are compatible' more and more each day" he adds.

And then, when the moment is just right, he proceeds to seal the deal.

"We’ve got to that stage where we have been dating, we’re sleeping in the same bed every night. Essentially we are exclusive.

"It would be nice to continue this and to progress this afterwards. I want to. It would just be nice to know you want to?" Asks the 31-year-old.

And it doesn't take Laura long to respond, overjoyed, she gushes:

"Of course I do. I am so happy you’re there."

Awww, this makes us happy. These two are obviously getting a lot closer off-screen because we didn't expect this question so soon. Cute. Love Island returns to 3e tonight at 9pm.
