Disney’s Descendants 3 paid an emotional tribute to Cameron Boyce during its official premiere.
The actor passed away on July 6 after suffering a seizure. He was 20 years old.
The Disney Channel later announced the red carpet for Descendants 3 wouldn’t be going ahead out of respect fore the actor’s family and friends.
The network also said that the telecast for the film would be dedicated to the actor, who played Carlos – the villainous son of Cruella De Vil.
Ahead of the film’s premiere last night [August 2], the Disney Channel shared an emotional tribute to the actor.

“Tonight’s premiere of #Descendants3 is dedicated to #CameronBoyce and is a celebration of his talent and the joy he brought to the world. You’ll always be in our hearts, Cameron,” they tweeted.
The official Descendants Twitter account also shared the tribute on their own page, where they said: “You mean everything to us.”
The footage showed clips from Boyce’s work on the Descendants film series, as well as the sitcom Jessie. It also included behind-the-scenes photos as well as soundbites from a number of interviews.
