Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and her husband Jean Bernard narrowly escaped a shark attack when holidaying in the Caribbean earlier this month.
The couple were snorkelling when Cheryl reportedly spotted a blacktip reef shark and according to reports, they were urged back to shore by waiting lifeguards.
This particular type of shark rarely poses a threat and is classed as non-violent.
However, the blacktip reef has been known to bite people wading through shallow water although injuries are not usually serious.

A source spoke to the Daily Mirror newspaper about the incident: “It was a very scary experience for them both.
“There are warnings up about sharks all year round in that part of the world, but nobody expects to actually see one.
“The beach was quickly evacuated. Fortunately nobody was hurt, but the sharks in that region can be vicious.
“Cheryl was shaken but she was OK”.
