This is Alison’s world and we’re just living in it.
A huge congratulations are in order for TV presenter Alison Hammond as she has reportedly gotten engaged.
The This Morning alum and her partner Ben Hawkins are set to walk down the aisle after the two proposed to each other.
Confirming the much loved star’s happy news, Alison’s future father in law told MailOnline that he will be officially welcoming her to the family.
Colin Hawkins revealed: “I do know they have both proposed to one another but there are no rings that I know of.
“They are really happy but they haven’t got everything sorted just yet but they are both talking about marriage, that is true.”
And as expected, Colin is delighted that Alison will be joining their family as he described her as “the nicest woman” he has ever met and all the Hawkins love her “to bits”.
The couple has been quietly dating for a year and a half and if it wasn’t for Ben’s work, their paths may never have crossed.
The couple met as Ben is a landscape gardener and was hired by Alison to do some work for her in the garden of her West Midlands home.
Alison first began dropping hints that she had a secret relationship back in June when her This Morning co-star Dermot O’Leary made a few references to it.
Dermot first slipped up when he described Alison as a “taken woman” live on air, with Alison then joking that she had “hidden” their romance.
She went on to explain: “He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and messages my feet every single day.”
