The former England captain has received a two-year ban from driving this morning after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge.
Rooney was arrested on 1 September after police pulled over his car in Cheshire, England, during the early hours of the morning.
Having been asked to take a breathalyser test it was confirmed the 31-year-old had 104 milligrams of alcohol for every 100ml of blood in the body – nearly three times the legal limit.
According to the BBC, the Stockport Magistrates’ Court saw Wayne plead guilty to the offense and as a result he has been ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid community service as part of a 12-month community order.
