After countless messages back and forth, they finally met for the first time today.
Three years ago, Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec matched with each other on Tinder.
Immediately reaching out to introduce himself, Josh’s ‘Hey Michelle’ was left unanswered for two months until Michelle jokingly responded ‘Sorry, my phone died’.
And thus began a private joke that lasted three whole years.
Back and forth every couple of months, the pair would think of inventive reasons for their lack of response.
Their story went viral after Josh shared a screengrab of their conversation on Twitter saying:
“One day I’m going to meet this girl and it’s going to be epic.”

Picking up on their modern-day romance, Good Morning America decided to finally introduce the couple live on air and it’s as cute as you’d imagine.
If figuring out what to wear and how to act on international television wasn’t enough, I also get to meet Michelle in front of all of you! ? https://t.co/KodIaxN5zZ
