Whether Valentine’s Day is an all-or-nothing kind of day for you, you don’t need an excuse to plan a romantic trip.

Here in Ireland, we are lucky to have some of the most breathtaking and beautiful views in the world.

Some of which were film sets to some huge blockbusters.

The Sally Gap, WicklowP.S. I Love You

Where else to sweep someone off their feet than on the P.S. I Love You Bridge/Ballysmuttan Bridge located in Ballinastoe in Wicklow?

This iconic bridge has seen tourists flock to the location to get loved up since the film’s release in 2014.

Whelan’s Pub, Wexfors St, Dublin – P.S. I Love You

If you and your partner are after a city break, why not visit the pub where Holly travels to after Gerry’s death.

In a posthumous letter, the departed Gerry sends his wife and two friends to Ireland, one of the activities being the pub where he took her on one of their first dates.

While the film suggests that the pub is situated in a quaint village pub in Wicklow, the scenes were filmed in a popular pub in Dublin named Whelan’s, where you can get a quality pint and great music.

Tara Hall, Dublin—Love, Rosie

In the coastal village of Howth, a few miles from Dublin is a boutique hotel where the rom-com Love, Rosie filmed its iconic climactic scene.

Tara House overlooks the sea and is a perfect setting for a romantic weekend getaway.

If you’re looking for a day trip, the property is a medium distance from Howth Lighthouse, for a gorgeous and scenic stroll.
