It may be February but someone obviously didn’t tell the weather gods, as Ireland got a very festive scattering of the white stuff earlier today.
Following Met Eireann’s weather alert, there has been widespread snowfall across the country this afternoon, with a snow and ice warning in place for Donegal, Connacht, Longford, Westmeath, Cavan and Monaghan.
