Veteran entertainer Rolf Harris was found guilty on all 12 counts of indecent assault yesterday. Following a six-week trial, the jury at Southwark Crown Court convicted Harris on the 12 counts of indecent assault from 12 initial charges dating from 1968 to 1986.

Harris is due to face sentencing on Friday but it seems that he could, in fact, face new charges as police have confirmed they are investigating fresh allegations.

According to the Independent, Officers from Operation Yewtree, the enquiry which was set up to look into the Savile case, have confirmed they are investigating allegations from a further 13 women who contacted the NSPCC claiming they had been abused by Harris.

ABC reported that although there are fresh allegations it is possible that they won’t make it to court, depending on the strength of the allegations and the sentencing Harris will receive on Friday.

Harris has been informed that he faces inevitable jail and that each of the charges that have been brought against him carry a maximum penalty of two years each.
