He was charged late last month.
R Kelly has given his first interview since being charged with sexual assault.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the disgraced superstar was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four women, three of whom were between the ages of 13 and 17.
The publication claims that his first court date will be this Friday, March 8.
He is denying all claims, telling CBS This Morning that the “rumours” of him abusing underage girls are “not true.”
In the interview, he brought up cases from 2008, where he was tried and acquitted of child pornography.
He said: “I will tell you this, people are going back to my past, OK? That’s exactly what they’re doing, they’re going back to the past and they’re trying to add all of this stuff now, to that, to make all of this stuff that’s going on now feels real to people.”

The interviewer, Gayle King, says that what went on in the past is relevant to what is going on now, to which R Kelly replies: “Absolutely no it’s not.”
“Why?” Gayle asks, to which the singer says, “Because for one, I beat my case… you can’t double jeopardy me like that, it’s not fair.”
Later in the interview, he looks at the camera and says it’s “stupid,” if people think he did the things he is being accused of. He then starts to cry.
