PHOTO: Gardaí Show Off Mammoth Booze Haul On Twitter After Clampdown At Portmarnock Beach

If you were hoping to enjoy the good weather with a few drinks on the beach this weekend, you may want to re-examine your plans. An Garda Síochána has posted an image to its Twitter feed showing the major haul of booze that officers confiscated at Portmarnock Beach in Dublin yesterday and judging by the size of their collection, it seems they mean business. Drinking alcohol in any public space is illegal according to Irish law so unless you fancy adding to their stash, it might be wise to stick to the back garden!
