It has been quite the year for Agnes Brown, with the release of her movie, another award on the mantelpiece and her very own bronze statue unveiled today in Dublin city centre.
Giving Molly Malone a run for her money, Mrs Brown has been given the bronze seal of approval and honoured in the greatest way possible.
Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie is officially on sale in HMV and so they decided to mark the occasion outside their Henry Street store in the best way possible.
Unfortunately Agnes could not be there in person, so the store opted for a male dressed as the infamous Irish mammy.
As Mrs Brown would say, ‘that’s nice!’
