A warning has been issued.

The Munich police force have warned locals not to share any photos of police operations following a shooting in the centre of the city.

Bavaria’s interior ministry has reported that three people are confirmed dead after an attack at a shopping centre in the region’s capital.

And now, after urging residents to stay indoors amid reports of a second shooter, they have warned against sharing photos or videos which could ‘help’ the perpetrators.

Full details of the incident are yet to emerge, though footage has been shared of people fleeing the Olympia Einkaufszentrum, where the shots are believed to have originated.

A number of people have shared photos and video from the scene, with at least one person live streaming on Periscope.

Reports of a second shooting at the Marienplatz station in central Munich have been found to be false, though reports that a second shooter is on the loose in the city remain unconfirmed.

Police have revealed that they do not know where the perpetrator or perpetrators are at the time of writing.

This is a developing story and we will provide further information as and when it comes to light.
