Meet the Iraqi housewife who hunts down and “cooks the heads” of ISIS members

"I fought them. I beheaded them."

Her

Wahida Mohamed is not a woman to be messed with.

The 39-year-old, who describes herself as a housewife and is known as “Um Hanadi”, lives in Shirqat, Iraq, and leads a force of some 70 men, armed with guns and machetes, in the ongoing fight against al Qaeda and then ISIS militants in the region.

“I began fighting the terrorists in 2004, working with Iraqi security forces and the coalition,” she said in an interview with CNN this week.

“I received threats from the top leadership of ISIS…I’m at the top of their most wanted list, even more than the [Iraqi] Prime Minister.”

It’s not that much of a surprise to learn how she became so militant: Mohamed has so far lost two husbands, her father and three brothers to the terror group. They’ve even killed her animals.
She has become a repeat target for the group too. “Six times they tried to assassinate me,” she explained. “I have shrapnel in my head and legs, and my ribs were broken. But all that didn’t stop me from fighting.”
Mohamed described her grisly battles with ISIS, claiming:  “I fought them. I beheaded them. I cooked their heads, I burned their bodies.”
CNN’s report also delved into Mohamed’s Facebook page, which shows apparently authentic pictures of her holding up enemies’ severed heads.
