Katie Mythen-Lynch

It’s a feel good Friday for the economy today, with Microsoft set to announce 600 new jobs at its European Headquarters in Dublin.

The majority of the new roles will be at Microsoft’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) sales centre, with a further 100 jobs going in sales, finance, operations and engineering.

The Microsoft news follows the announcement that Indeed, one of the world’s biggest job sites, are also to create 500 jobs at their headquarters in the capital.

The company is looking to employ staff in areas such as sales, human resources, marketing, finance, operations and business development over the next two years.

The number of Indeed staff based in Ireland will almost double as a result of the latest recruitment drive; approximately 530 people are already employed at Indeed’s HQ in St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin.
