Pauline Lynch, from Dalkey in South Dublin, has been found safe and well.
Gardaí had called on the public for their help in tracing the whereabouts of the 67-year-old, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, when she went missing yesterday afternoon.
Her daughter Liz D’Arcy told Independent.ie: “Her mobile is also off at the moment. She has a GPS tracker which I put in the lining of her handbag but it seems it’s been knocked off.
“Only last weekend I had tested it. It has a SIM card in it and we can normally ring the GPS tracker and it tells us where she is on Google Maps”.
