And as for today, temperatures are expected to be very similar to yesterday which saw record breaking temperatures of 32 degrees at Shannon Airport, the highest recorded temperature in Ireland since July 2006.
And it looks like it will be all clear skies for the rest of the day into the evening with predictions that it could reach 32 degrees again particulary in parts of the mid-west and west of Ireland.Maximum temperatures from around the country today.
