According to reports this morning, an EgyptAir aircraft has been hijacked and forced to divert to Lacarna Airport, located in Cyprus.
BBC News reports that Flight MS181, bound for Cairo, was carrying 55 people when a passenger hijacked it and ordered the plane to make the emergency landing.
The person in question reportedly said he was wearing a suicide belt.
The airport has been closed and scheduled flights diverted elsewhere.
