If you’d rather hit the hay than take a tumble in the sheets, you’re one of 65% of women who said they’d prefer a solid eight hour sleep over sex.
In a study conducted by TODAY, when women were offered the chance for a satisfying sleep or a night of sex, 65% of participants chose slumber every time.
Just short of leaving us totally dumbfounded, the study went on to reveal why – more than half of the women in the survey are sleep-deprived.
Research found that 58% of the women don’t routinely get eight hours of sleep or more each night, meaning their bedroom action is taking a backseat while they catch-up on shut-eye.
According to Women’s Health, a 2013 study also found that when couples curb their sleep, it can lead to more fighting and ill feelings which can destroy a bond.
So what’s the best way to win back libido? Doctors recommend nabbing a solid eight hours of sleep every night. For more tips on how to stock up on hibernation hours, check out our tips here.
