It appears that love hurts and knife crimes are on the rise in Cougar Town…
Florida woman Elizabeth Highly has allegedly been arrested for chasing a male almost 30 years her junior while wielding a knife because he would not engage in sexual activity with her.
It is reported that the 52-year-old had been drinking wine at her home with the younger gentleman, Crue Finley, before the incident occurred.
According to the Metro, Crue reported to police that Elizabeth grabbed a hunting knife and chased him around her Jensen Beach property before following him down a street.
Crue flagged down local St. Lucie County Police and told them about the incident.
Officers at the scene reported seeing the woman chasing the 25-year-old through a car park located beside a petrol station.
Police asked Elizabeth to drop her weapon before arresting her. The angry lady was then charged with aggravated assault and released on $3,500 bail.
Crue managed to escape with just a small laceration to his thumb.
We’ve all been rejected before; thankfully we’ve just never taken it that bad…
