What a bunch of legends.
Spartak Moscow showed other clubs how it’s done this week with their kind-hearted response to the news that an elderly fan of theirs had been done out of his entire life savings.
According to reports, 102-year-old Otto Fischer had his life-savings stolen by a man pretending to be a social worker.
The football club took action immediately, kicking off a fundraising campaign that raised 500,000 rubles (almost €8,000).
The money was presented to Otto live on TV by the side’s star striker Vyacheslav Krotov and Otto was then invited to a VIP tour of the club’s new stadium while some of the revenue from tickets sold at their next game was also promised to him.
Soundest club ever.
