Ah, classic Ellen.

Ah, classic Ellen.

Facebook came under some scrutiny last week after pushing out a new policy that prevented users from operating under pseudonyms. The ‘real name’ issue was targeted at performers and acts on the social networking service and particularly offended the drag community.

Anyone who didn’t comply with the new regulations faced the risk of deactivation, which received severe backlash online, eventually leading to an apology from the social networking giants.

Ellen, being the legend that she is, invited Mark Zuckerburg to join her in studio and when the head honcho declined she replaced him with the ‘Facebook Vice President’. The VP read out an apology to the individual drag queens affected… such as Tess Tosterone, Lucielle Balles, Amanda Playwith and Wilma Fingerdoo. Brilliant!
