A new hashtag has started trending on Twitter as users have been using the social media site to vote for their top 100 Irish Women.
The hashtag #100IrishWomen2014 originated following the announcement of the #100Women2014. Twitter user Joan O’Connell kicked the Irish side of things off and it has spiralled since then.
Tributes to well-known, much-loved and inspirational Irish women have been pouring in from Twitter fans, with many users also voting for inspirational women in their own lives to make the cut.
After BBC’s #100Women2014, great idea by @clicky_here to set up #100IrishWomen2014. Who would people nominate for the list?
