Move over Barbie, natural beauty is taking over.

We’ve already seen Barbie without her usual style, an average body weight and dressed like the ‘girl next door’, but the latest artist impressions are showing Bratz dolls au natural.

Bratz dolls have long been argued over their sexualising of children, but now an Australian artist has given the controversial dolls a make-under, aimed at teaching girls about natural beauty.

Showing what the dolls would like without their trademark dark eyeshadow and false lashes, the Tree Change Dolls Tumblr account showcase a softer look.

Explaining the make-under, the artist wrote:

“These lil fashion dolls have opted for a “tree change”, swapping high-maintenance glitz ‘n’ glamour for down-to-earth style.

“I hand repaint the dolls faces, mold new shoes, and my Mum sews and knits their clothing.”

The dolls are such a success with young girls and their parents alike, the artist, who restored all the dolls from charity shops and landfills, will soon be selling her creations on Etsy.
