One girl has told her horror story of forgetting to sign out of her mum’s eBay account

The poor girl!

HOW could this happen…

For many of us, eBay is a black hole where we wile away the hours looking at things we don’t need or can barely afford.

The website is known for its variety of things it sells, from secondhand clothes to games to… more x-rated things some people may feel shame buying in the shops.

Telling her tale on Redditone mortified user spoke of how she went shopping for sex toys before making a serious faux pas.

“Alright, so it’s my birthday on Friday, and my sister gave me $60 ahead of time. I’ve been “in the mood” lately, so I decided to go on Amazon and order something new.

“I guess I’m lucky, since normally I’m somewhat kinky…

“I punch in all my info, set it to ship to my sister, (Any packages shipped to my name will immediately get torn open by my kid brother, and it’s set to arrive while I’m in class) and      ordered it. A split second later I heard Mom’s phone go off, and then it clicked – I forgot to log out of her account.

She rushes to her mother’s phone to try and cover her tracks but what happens next will REALLY make you cringe…

“I rushed in to take it and delete any incriminating notifications or emails, but when I grab her phone, the notification bar is blank. I asked her if she’d already checked it, which she  hadn’t, (It was just a normal text apparently) and she gets curious and starts pressing me.

Despite the mix-up, she takes the high road and has to explain all to her mam. Scarlet.

“I’m not good under pressure and I cannot lie to my parents, so I just say that “I ordered  something embarrassing and forgot I was still in your account”. She cracks up, starts  speculating about dildos and bras, and immediately goes to check her email and share the  information with Dad. A couple minutes ago she confirmed that she had read it by asking if I  knew that I ordered two of those, at which point I had to inform her that they were two  different toys. She laughs even harder.

“It’s going to arrive while I’m at school, so there’s absolutely nothing that I can do to stop her from immediately opening the package and giving me a hard time when I get home. (Aside  from just hoping that my sister is there when the mail comes, which she probably won’t be) I’m sure that when I come home Wednesday they’re going to be prominently displayed on    the mantle or at my desk. FML.”

Rather her than us!
