“I never really appreciated how hair makes me feel” Roz Purcell shares her struggle with hair loss

“It’s been falling out in chunks”.

Rozanna Purcell has opened up about her disheartening struggle with hair loss. Taking to her Instagram account, the author and former model shared an update with her followers saying, “It’s been falling out in chunks for the last few weeks”.

HAIR UPDATE So the hair isn’t going to plan. There is definitely re growth very white thin hairs but it’s gotten just a tad bigger since March only .75cm (thanks to everyone who suggested measuring it at the start!) . Over the last 4 weeks my hair has been falling out again in clunks & it’s been kind of hard to know what to do. I haven’t made any appointments yet as I haven’t been going anywhere as I see my family but I think I will once I return to Dublin as it’s not getting better. I’ve been taking supplements and really good care of my hair (except that coconut oil mask now and again ?) so it’s just a bit disheartening. I know it’s such a small thing but I guess I never really appreciated how hair makes me feel. In the grand scheme of things lots of others go through much worse especially now and then I feel bad for feeling bad about it. ?? Few people have suggested particular hair treatments for the patch but I’m more concerned with why the rest is falling out now? Anyway I’m not using you guys as google doctor ?but would appreciate treatment advice and places ? ps. That photo sorry totally irrelevant aside from the Medusa hair ?

Roz first spoke about her struggles with hair loss back in March. At the time, she admitted that the hair loss was probably down to stress as she shared an image of a small bald patch on the back of her head.

Since then, despite taking supplements and taking good care of her hair, it continues to fall out. She explained how hard it’s been to adapt to the hair loss, “I know it’s such a small thing but I guess I never really appreciate how hair makes me feel”, she added that she would “appreciate treatment advice and places”.

There was a massive outpouring of support and solidarity for Roz with many recommendations flooding in for special treatments and shampoos, in particular Pelo Dolls, a Dublin-based salon that also specialises in scalp treatments, was mentioned numerous times.
