Winners one and all!
The 2015 Social Media Awards took place in Dublin’s RDS on Wednesday night, honouring the best use of social media by organisations across the country.
This year marked the fifth year of the hugely popular awards ceremony, sponsored for the first time by Maximum Media – the parent company behind Her.ie and our sister sites JOE.ie, SportsJOE.ie and HerFamily.ie.
2FM presenter Rick O’Shea took the reins on stage for the fun-filled event, with games of sock pairing and lollipop catching with a toy arm (no, really), taking place in between the presentations of 23 awards.
Some of the most popular winners on the night included the team behind the excellent @GardaTraffic account and the folks from HairyBaby.com, while Aer Lingus earned themselves the unofficial sass award – using their acceptance speech to thank Ryanair “for showing us what not to do”.
