“I Can Do Everything That Everyone Else Can Do” – Brave Teenager Fights Back Against Bullying

This teenager talks a lot of sense

Cathy Donohue

Paige Edwards was born without any fingers on her left hand and this condition has meant she has been subjected to bullying throughout her life.

However, instead of letting it get her down the brave teenager has decided to fight back.

She took to photo sharing website Imgur this week to show that she can do everything that other people can, regardless of missing fingers.

17-year-old Paige posted an album entitled “Different” containing a series of photos explaining what it’s like to be different.

“I can do everything that everyone else can do,” she writes in the album.

She addresses the common questions that people ask her (“What happened to your hand?”) and shows off the prosthetic arm she got when she was 14.

The New York native wanted to make a statement because she had noticed a lot of “hate” on the internet.

Since sharing the album Paige has gotten a great reaction. A 22-year-old in Texas with a hand like hers and a mother with a 6-month-old who has the same condition have contacted her.

“The mother was asking about how she should handle the situation,” Paige told Huffington Post. “My mom is actually on the phone with her right now!”

“And to end on a good note,” she writes on Imgur, “I can make a smiley face with my hand. Have a good day!”
