How 3D Printing Is Giving This Puppy The Chance To Walk

3D printing is one of modern life’s greatest innovations.

The world’s most complex face transplant which we wrote about here relied extensively on 3D printing, and Dutch researchers are currently developing a way to use the technology to manufacture 3D printed teeth.

Tumbles the puppy was born in Ohio without his front legs, and was taken in at 2 weeks old by a local rescue group Friends of the Shelter Dogs .

According to ABC13, the adorable pup was able to adapt to move around, but it was recommended they build a cart for him so he could build up muscle in his back legs.

Tiny Mr. Tumbles is ready for his close up!!! This was taken November 10, 2015, right before his first wheelchair fitting.

The Ohio University Innovation Center are responsible for giving Tumbles (Who only weighs 1.5lbs!) a new lease of life.
