Well, this sounds deadly…
If you could go back in time to see what people wrote on Twitter ten years ago, would you?
Yes? Us too.
Well, now you actually can. Andy Baio, who was formerly technology officer for Kickstarter, found a little hack that will let you go back in time to any year since the website launched.
From there, it will bring you back, except it will be all the people you follow now. So even if you didn’t follow them in 2006 (when Twitter launched), you will be able to see everything they have tweeted since then.
See? Interesting.
If you fancy checking what your mates were tweeting about ten years ago, just click on the link below to see what your Twitter timeline would have looked like in 2008.
Then, just remember to hit ‘latest’ to see everything in order.
Want to see what your Twitter timeline would’ve looked like 10 years ago today, if you followed all the same people you do now? https://t.co/41a6iQcYhc

After you’ve finished having a gander, you can reverse it and go back to normal by clicking the link below again.
By the way, if you remove the date parameter from that search and click “Latest,” you get a strict reverse-chronological timeline with no algorithm junk. ? https://t.co/OTOeFTZfiz

Here’s what Twitter’s now-CEO tweeted about in 2008. We’ll just leave it here.
