A London pensioner took Apple on and won when his phone was wiped of precious honeymoon photos while in repairs at the Apple Store.
Deric White (68) told the Evening Standard: “My wife was reduced to tears when they wiped my phone. Everyone tells me this has happened to them or their mate. I did this for the common man. I would say to anybody who has got a gripe with Apple – don’t let them boss you about and ignore you.”
He was awarded over £2000 in compensation and costs and represented himself in court, arguing his own case against a massive legal team.
Videos he lost included ones from his 2014 honeymoon and photos of medical professionals who helped him through his recent struggle with cancer.
White described it as ‘a moral victory’.
