A heatwave isn't the best time to have sex.

Even standing remotely near to another human being in this muggy heat feels a bit mank so the thought of getting really, eh, close to someone when you can hardly bear to have a single sheet over you in bed at night? It's somewhat unappealing, honestly. This can be frustrating but no need to avoid the ride altogether either. The best way to beat the sweat, according to someone in the know? Kitchen sex. A cool countertop by the fridge is your best bet, says sex and relationship expert Annabelle Knight. "Bring sex out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, this is especially good if you have a work surface near your fridge," she advises in The Sun. "Just open the door and away you go, you’ve basically got air-conditioning in the most opportune of places, giving you a cool blast whilst you get down to it. "If there’s no surface near your fridge the floor will do just fine, just make sure you shut your blinds." Not the most environmentally sound of solutions but it's something to think about if you're badly stuck. She also recommends using sex toys in cool materials like metal or glass, plus breathable fabrics - sheets and underwear in satin, silk, cotton and linen will all help.
