A Woman Tried To Heckle Kevin Bridges At His Gig In The Olympia Last Night And His Reaction Was Perfect

He had far more patience than we would have had.  Sign up to be a comedian, and it’s generally accepted that you’re leaving yourself open to be heckled. However, when you get to the level of fame that Kevin Bridges has obtained, you’d imagine he’d be well past that stage. At least, that’s what you’d think. Not so for the brilliant Scottish man though, as despite the fact that everyone in the audience had willingly paid to see him perform in Dublin, one woman just wasn’t happy with what she was seeing at all at all. “Go on the Irish and stop talking sh*te,” she roared from the balcony, midway through a hilarious sketch about Diego Rivera (a prominent Mexican painter, in case you didn’t know). Now there was no need for that. No need for that at all. A lesser man (or indeed me) would have gone batsh*t crazy. Perhaps even thrown a strop and walked off stage. I mean seriously, she PAID TO SEE HIM. Instead, Bridges responded in style – and no, we don’t just mean the two finger salute he gave her (though bravo for that). He followed it by instead calling her out on the fact that she had been the one who had paid money to come and see him and continued his sketch in even more exaggerated fashion, or continuing to “talk sh*te” as she deemed it, and ended with an absolutely fantastic punchline that left the rest of the crowd in stitches. As he continued the show, pointedly aiming a number of jokes in that general direction, he had the rest of an enthralled audience firmly on his side, and as the night continued, he certainly proved a point. “Talking sh*te”? No. Comedic brilliance? Yes. Fair play Kevin, we thought you were great!
