Ben Foden’s latest Insta post of daughter Aoife is coming in for a lot of criticism

A week ago, Una Healy announced that she and her husband, Ben Foden, had separated.

They couple were married for six years and have two children: Aoife, six, and Tadhg, aged three. Since then, rumour has been abound that the rugby professional cheated on Una while she was pregnant with their son. And the 33-year-old came in for more criticism on Friday - with his Instgram activity in particular attracting the ire of Una's fans. Ben posted a video of his eldest child on a horse along with the caption: "Took Aoife for her first ride on a pony this afternoon! #countrygirl#countrylife #cheshire". In response, however, one commentator wrote: "When you cheat on her Mum. You cheat on her and her baby brother out of having a family unit.... you make it up to her with a pony ride.... go you!!" Ouch. Another person stated: "Can't believe u fucking cheated on Una Healy. I used love u as a rugby player but now I've lost all respect for u because of this. Why tf would u cheat on someone as beautiful as Una?" A third user alluded to Aoife and said: "I wonder if she will still look at you the same when she's older, googles you and sees how you hurt her mammy?" A few others, however, came to his defence: "If people feel the need to abuse @ben_foden then don't follow him - absolutely nothing to do with anyone other than himself and his family - not sure they want to read the negative comments."

"I can confirm Una and Ben have separated and she’s in Ireland with her mum and kids, but there will be no further comment to make."

The couple and their children had been planning on moving to New York; Ben has a contract with a rugby team there. He will now travel alone, with his family staying behind either in Ireland or England. Mr Foden won 34 caps for England between 2009 and 2013 and appeared more than 250 times for Northampton Saints over a ten-year career. Una and Ben wed in a lavish ceremony at Kilshane House in Co Tipperary in June 2012. They celebrated their anniversary in late June, both sharing a photo of themselves from their wedding day.
