Aoibhín Garrihy shared an emotional update after announcing the birth of her fourth child.
The Irish actress announced on Wednesday (March 25) that she had welcomed a baby girl with her husband, John Burke.
Aoibhín and John are now delighted parents to their baby girl Aoileann, who joins her three sisters, Hanorah, Liobhan and Isla.
Following the arrival of her baby girl, Aoibhín has shared an update on her labour experience.
On Thursday, Aoibhín took to Instagram to share a collection of snaps from her hospital stay.
The post features a series of sweet photos of Aoibhín and John with their newborn baby.
“Welcomed into the world with the very best care,” Aoibhín gushed in her caption.
“From the moment we arrived at the weekend, we were wrapped in the most extraordinary care at University Hospital Galway.
“Every time we go through this journey, it only deepens our belief… we are so lucky. The care, compassion and expertise within our maternity services are truly world-class,” she praised, before going on to thank the hospital’s staff.
“Over the past nine months, we were guided so brilliantly by Dr Una Conway and her wonderful assistant, Martha, a constant source of reassurance, calm and confidence every step of the way.
“When it came time to meet our little girl, we were held by the most incredible team. Our midwife Edel and her colleagues in the delivery suite were simply exceptional. We were so well looked after. Jackie, your gentle support meant so much in those early hours.
“And then onto the postnatal ward, where the care never faltered. Familiar, friendly faces like the amazing Carmel Connelly, Orla, the physio team, the lactation consultants, and even the lovely ladies who nourished us with warm meals…every single person played a part in making those first days so supported and special,” she added.
Aoibhín concluded her caption by writing: “Thank you for bringing our beautiful baby Aoileann safely into our arms. We are so incredibly grateful. Feeling very, very blessed”.
