The best of enemies?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be an absolute smash-hit at the box-office as two of the most iconic characters in movie history go toe-to-toe, but the question remains, where will your loyalties lie?
They’re both incredibly cool, but there’s no denying that this is going to be a superhero smackdown like no other.
With this in mind, here are some other memorable movie rivalries and a few lines about what made them so special.
1. Mean Girls: Cady vs. Regina George
Classic clash: The iconic rivalry brought the world the ultimate high school villain, the one and only Regina George. Her nemesis? Cady Heron, aka. the home-schooled jungle freak who’s a less hot version of Regina.
Most memorable moment: The tension between the pair reached its climax when Regina came face-face-to-face with a bus. Relive the classic scene in all its glory below.

2. Harry Potter: Harry Potter vs. Lord Voldemort
Classic clash: This has been the most famous incarnation of good v evil in recent years, despite the fact that they’re both cut from the same cloth, horcruxicly speaking of course. You know what we mean.
Most memorable moment: After three films that established the wizarding world and the rivalry between ‘He Who Must Not Be Named’ and ‘The Boy Who Lived’, their very first meeting in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was more than just a little bit special.
3. Derek Zoolander vs. Hansel
Classic clash: Before they became BFFs, the world’s leading male models clashed with one another on a scale never seen before in the fashion industry. And that’s saying something.
Most memorable moment: The walk-off to end all walk-offs, of course.

4. Batman: Batman vs. The Joker
Classic clash: “This is what happens when an unstoppable force…meets an immovable object”.

5. The Might Ducks: The Ducks vs. The Hawks
Classic clash: Sport is the domain of great rivalries, but who doesn’t love a good underdog story? Watching Charlie Conway and co taking on the might Hawks will always take us straight back to our childhood.
Most memorable moment: Ducks fly together. #ThatFlyingVThough
6. Home Alone: Kevin v Buzz
Classic clash: There’s nothing more vicious than a proper sibling rivalry, and there’s something truly brilliant about how terrible Buzz is to his wee brother.
That scene when he deliberately eats Kevin’s pizza or his delivery of the word “phlegm-wad” is enough to get this ‘horses ass’ on the list ahead of the Wet Bandits. We’ve a feeling that these two brothers probably hate each other to this day.
Most memorable moment: This is an absolute classic. Right in poor little Kevin’s face. 
7. The Shawshank Redemption: Andy Dufresne v Warden Norton
Classic clash: It’s polar opposites. Hope v despair, decency v greed, honesty v lies.
Most memorable moment: Let’s go for a happy one. The moment when the penny finally drops for one of cinema’s greatest ever villains. Andy’s vanishing act was the stuff of genius.
