The Summer I Turned Pretty fans will love this new Netflix series

This new Netflix series is a must-watch

If you’re a fan of The Summer I Turned Pretty then this new Netflix series is right up your street.

If, like me, you’re eagerly awaiting the return of The Summer I Turned Pretty then I’m sorry to let you know; it could be 2025 by the time season three rolls around.

Work on the third season came to a total standstill because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

However, Jenny Han is reportedly in the pre-production stages.

Han previously told Variety that the series has been a joy but she wants to stay true to the books.

She told Variety:

“My priority has always been that I want fans of the book to feel really satisfied by the story we’re telling, but also for them to know that this is an adaptation in a new medium, so it’s not going to be exactly the same.”

She also revealed that things may change in season three.

“You never know what could happen with the show. I was open-minded going into it. I was considering a lot of different possibilities,” Han teased.

We could be waiting some time so why not watch My Life with the Walter Boys on Netflix?

The YA series is slightly similar to The Summer I Turned Pretty. They’re both coming-of-age stories with love triangles at the centre of the story.

The official synopsis reads:

‘When a tragedy disrupts her life, a teen moves in with her guardian’s big family in a small town. She learns new lessons about love, hope, and friendship.’

Fans have been praising the Netflix series with many saying it’s such an easy watch.

The series is based on the book of the same name by Ali Novak. The 2014 novel was adapted for the screen by Melanie Halsall.

It stars Nikki Rodriguez, Ashby Gentry, Noah LaLonde, and Johnny Link.

My Life with the Walter Boys is on Netflix now.
