Despite the rumour mill going into overdrive with reports that Lorraine Toussaint would return for season three of hit prison drama Orange Is The New Black, Netflix representatives have confirmed that we’ve seen the last of Vee.
The baddie, played to perfection by Toussaint in the second series of the show, was last seen in the closing moments of the second season finale, lying roadside after her escape from prison went horribly wrong.
Vee made her way out of incarceration via Red’s tunnel, only to be spotted and run over by a prison van in the hands of fellow runaway Miss Rosa.
Rumours abounded that Toussaint’s character would return when TMZ reported that the actress had been spotted on set. However, Netflix representatives later confirmed to Buzzfeed that the villainous Vee would not be back.
Lorraine is currently starring on the ABC show Forever.
