Looks like Archie Andrews mightn’t be the boy next door we all thought he was.
Star of Netflix’s Riverdale, KJ Apa, has landed himself in some hot water today after hitting the like button on something he shouldn’t have.
The New Zealand-born actor is facing the wrath of his fans today after liking a joke on Instagram taking aim at people’s weight.
While KJ might still be getting used to his new-found celebrity, this gaff will surely teach him a lesson in respect when it comes to interacting with his fans.
The comment he liked read:
“Making fun of fat people is the only thing that’s gonna stop those useless bags of s**t dying a fat early death.”
News of the move quickly spread online among Riverdale fans, and is now being talked about by many on social media.
“Can you believe KJ Apa liked a fat-shaming comment on Instagram?” wrote one follower. “I was rooting for you.”
“Fat shaming and treating women like objects? You’re supposed to be a rolemodel for teenagers. Well done KJ Apa,” wrote another.
While many defended the decision saying it could have easily been a slip of the finger, KJ has yet to apologise for the move leaving many fans admitting they will no longer watch the Netflix series.
