The cast of Coronation Street are well used to drama but there was some unexpected action on the soap this week, when an actor was rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries on set.
The actor had been filming a scene in which Bruno Langley’s character Todd Grimshaw is attacked by a group of thugs but fell face-first onto the pavement and was left with blood streaming from his nose.
According to the Irish Mirror, the extra was then taken to hospital but is understood to have escaped serious injury.
“The actor in question sustained a minor injury when he fell during filming. He was taken to hospital as a precaution but he is fine and well.”
