The Santa Clause trilogy are actually the best Christmas films ever

Every year the argument emerges, which is the ultimate Christmas film, and most of the time the fight ends in it either being between Love Actually or Elf. I'm here to set the record straight and tell you why it's neither, there's only one right answer to this question and it's The Santa Clause trilogy. There's no convincing me otherwise, these films had me completely hooked as a kid and even more so as an adult. I won't lie, they had me fully convinced that Santa regenerated every time a new one was needed, and the real Santa Claus was just someone's dad delivering us all presents every year. Disney always makes us feel like we're watching something magical, so when it comes to Christmas films, they somehow make it seem like you've been emersed into the world they've created. Giving Santa a second life at home with his son Charlie, he's someone that's real and somebody familiar, it made the idea of Santa Claus for us as children all the more real. Not to mention, who wasn't obsessed with Bernard the Elf? While Love Actually has its rom-com charm and Elf is just plain hilarious, there's a mix of that when it comes to The Santa Claus trilogy, aspects we can all find a common ground with. This movie is guaranteed to have you laughing and smiling, but with a few tears thrown in, either way you'll be thankful you've watched it. And the best part of this film? Once you've finished it, there are two more sequels that follow to keep you entertained for hours. This film was the first of its time to be real, to show a family that reflected a lot in the 90s and in today's world. It showed that a different type of Christmas exists and sometimes Christmas isn't always sunshine and rainbows, but can be a struggle for some parents. It's simply a classic.
