Add us as a preferred source on Google »I'm not sure what your go-to Christmas movie is, but, in my house, it's got to be 'Elf'.
Will Ferrell iconically plays the loveable, innocent, and optimistic 'Buddy the Elf' and I will usually speak in quotes from the movie as soon as it hits December 1st.
And, just when I thought I knew everything there is to know about my favourite festive film, I found a heartwarming and funny deleted scene that has made me question why it never made the feature film.
Fellow fans of the Christmas movie 'Elf' will be delighted to hear that this 'deleted scene' not only is super easy to find, but it packs the same hilarity as the actual movie.
The clip shows the self-proclaimed 'Cotton-headed ninny-muggins' at the North Pole up against a group of elves in a game of hockey with a full audience watching.
Of course, Buddy being Buddy, is blissfully unaware of his size difference compared to the elves around him and, unbeknownst to him, is wreaking havoc at every turn.
You can watch this short but sweet scene below:
The video, uploaded to the YouTube account Vudu, went down a treat with hardcore Christmas fans as they raced to give their reviews.
"They should've kept the last few parts in! THAT'S FUNNY!!!" one wrote.
"Love this movie. It's a Christmas staple! They seriously should've left this scene in the movie. lol," another commented.
"This scene is hilarious! Should’ve kept it in the film. As a sort of ‘buddy’s childhood’ type of scene...," a third added.
"They should add these scenes back into the Director's Cut. It makes a really funny movie even funnier!" another user wrote.
Have to say, I wholeheartedly agree; the more Buddy, the better.
