Big Brother house reportedly went into lockdown following attempted security breach

The Big Brother house reportedly went into a lockdown following a security alert on Thursday (October 12th).

It has been reported that a YouTuber flew a drone over the iconic Big Brother house in north-west London and the surrounding studios, which prompted staff to confront and attempt to escort the man away from the location to avoid a breach in their security – which he allegedly refused to do.

The man also allegedly filmed Big Brother employees and studio vehicles entering and leaving the site, and claimed that he had hacked their radio systems and listened in on conversations between the crew, according to the Irish Sun.

When asked to leave, the man continued to film the interaction between himself and Big Brother employees, and it is reported he was heard shouting “I will defend myself” and labelled his actions as “fair game” when more staff came on site to plead with him.

The man reportedly defended his actions stating that he was on a ‘public highway’ and wasn’t doing anything untoward.

Following the attempted ‘security breach’, a spokesperson for the popular reality TV show told The Sun:

“We have robust and rigorous security measures in place across our site for the safety of the Big Brother house, production team and Housemates. Safety and welfare is always a priority.”

In last nights episode, housemate Farida became emotional as she opened up about her religion and family life. She detailed the pain and ‘trauma’ she experienced in the wake of the death of her father, admitting she ‘holds onto her prayers’ as a coping mechanism for the grief.

The makeup artist now faces possible eviction in the first public vote of the series as she received the highest number of nominations by her fellow housemates, along with NHS senior manager, Kerry, as announced live on air during Big Brother: Late & Live by Will Best.

Big Brother will continue on tonight (October 13th) at 9pm on Virgin Media.
