The actor has said that he would be open to having a relationship with a man.

The 33-year-old was discussing his new play, Angels in America, when he suggested that he partially identifies as a gay man.

“I’m a gay man right now just without the physical act – that’s all,” he told Gay Times.

“Maybe I’ll have an awakening later in my life, which I’m sure will be wonderful and I’ll get to explore that part of the garden.

“But right now, I’m secluded to my area, which is wonderful as well.”

He went on to clarify his statements, saying:

“As far as I know, I am not a gay man.”

Andrew plays a gay character who has been diagnosed with AIDS in his new play and says that he was intimidated to play the role but has spent time researching and embracing the character.
